Another week has past in Laverton and everyday I am feeling more settled in town.
On sunday I went across to Leanora for church and was also able to visit Hoover house. I learnt many things including about president herbert hoover’s time in Leanora. This mine is the deepest underground trucking mine in the world more than 1,800m below ground.

The drive from Leo to Laverton is beautiful in its own way and on sunday i decided to take the drive slowly and stop at a lookout. Overlooking beautiful Wangkatha lands.

There was a lot of activity at the hosptial this week with some visiting specialist coming into town. its always nice to have some new faces around and people to chat too.
The sunsets this week did not disappoint and have a way of calming the soul after a busy day.

This quote from Spurgeon resonated with me as I have felt stretched and challenged in the isolation and my new role. There really is no words to describe how there is still an inner calm, not because of my own “zen” but because the Holy Spirit is working and shaping my soul to be more reliant on Jesus.
Bye for now…
Jos
