more trips

Like I said before lots of road trips happen when you live remote. Also lots of oversized trucks. Heres a photo of one that took up the whole road…how selfish ๐Ÿ˜‰

And yes…that is another storm building in the background. Recently storms build in the middle of the day to the late afternoon and bump rain in the late evening. Amazing for the creeks around Laverton….however, that means flies and mozzies have enjoyed the moisture too. I, however, don’t enjoy the flies or mozzies.

Jerome made the trip up to visit and our first camp over was at Menzies at the caravan park…a really nice caravan park might I add.

We started the morning with an egg and bacon burger and cuppa. No better way to start a glorious day.

Then we travelled up the Leonora and visited Hoover house where president Herbert Hoover lived for 6 months. This time we had a cuppa with jam, cream and scones. Feeling very fancy indeed.

And a wander around Gwalia the ghost town. Can you believe that a family of 6 took residence in this tiny tin shack.

Headed back to Laverton and spent lots of time chatting, driving coffee and eating good food. I was very grateful to Jerome to make the trip out to visit – a 12 hour journey to Laverton and the same on return. Nice to have company for a few days too.

Even with all these properties, managed to lose this game and the subsequent 3 other games we played ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Finished off our time together with slow cooked sticky ribs….10/10!

Bye for now….

Jos
